Personal Practices: Spirit

Spirit, as a factor in collective resonance,is described in many ways. Some people describe this factor within a more traditional religious context, using terms like “Holy Spirit.” Others use expressions like “higher part of us,” “higher power,” or “that overwhelming thing that happens.” Spirit is perceived to be an actual outside force, not something the group creates, nor even something the group creates a container for—however, the groups experiencing it were receptive or aware.

One person's spiritual awakening, insight or awareness can be catalytic in shifting a group into resonance. The Personal Practices listed below are just some of the many ways found within the world's wisdom traditions for opening to the presence of Spirit.
